Bepanthol®Sensiderm helps relieve itching in 30 minutes with its white cream structure and cortisone-free formula. and provides reconstruction of the skin barrier. It repairs the damaged skin barrier thanks to the special lamellar lipids in its content. It supports the elimination of complaints such as itching, redness and flaking.

What is itching and how should it be treated?
Dryness, atopic dermatitis/eczema, allergic skin reactions and many different irritations can cause skin redness, swelling and itching.
In such cases, the retinue layer, the lipids that make up the skin barrier, are damaged and itching can be triggered. These lipids, mainly composed of ceramides, provide a natural protection against irritation.
When this protective barrier is damaged, the skin loses water. This causes dryness and itching. The vulnerable skin barrier has difficulty preventing irritants that can irritate the skin from entering the body, and this causes more itching.

What is atopic dermatitis?
Atopic dermatitis, also known as allergic eczema, is a chronic skin disease that is more common in children and manifests itself with recurring and itchy lesions. It is known that atopic dermatitis affects 230 million people worldwide and its incidence is increasing. Atopic dermatitis is seen in 15-20% of children and 2-8% of adults worldwide.
Symptoms of atopic dermatitis:
Typical locations of atopic dermatitis lesions in infants and young children are the face, neck, arms, and outer surfaces of the legs.
In older children and adults, it can be observed as eczema lesions on the inner arms and behind the knees, and occasionally on the trunk. Dryness can also be seen all over the body.
Inflammatory lesions may occur on eczema lesions, and as the lesions become chronic, thickening of the skin may occur.
Things to avoid to avoid triggering atopic dermatitis:

Wool, synthetic clothing
Bathing with extremely hot water
